ABOUT
The only North American contrast media manufacturer building a secure, cost advantaged and vertically integrated contrast media drug solution.
Two Discoveries, One Supply Chain
Brent and Brad Willis started exploring for minerals alongside their father at just 17 years old, five mining ventures deep before they turned 30. What struck them wasn’t the ore, but how fragile the supply chain above it was. Every barium and iodine contrast scan performed in North America depends on foreign imports and synthetic barium, with no domestic backup.
In 2017, the brothers founded Voyageur Pharmaceuticals to remove that single point of failure. Today, the company owns 100% of Frances Creek, one of the purest known natural barium deposits in the world, confirmed at 98.8%+ pharmaceutical-grade purity at a 90%+ lower cost than synthetic alternatives1,1.1. Alongside it, the Mueller Process unlocks a domestic iodine source from oilfield brine that has, until now, simply been discarded as waste. Voyageur is building North America’s first vertically integrated contrast media supply chain.
90% Barium Cost Advantage
One of the purest known natural barium deposits in the world, confirmed at 98.8%+ pharmaceutical-grade purity and a 90%+ lower cost than synthetic alternatives1,1.1.
Patent Pending Iodine Extraction Technology
Patent-pending technology extracts pharmaceutical-grade iodine from oilfield brine water currently discarded as waste by the oil industry for cost–effective, pharmaceutical grade iodine contrast media.
Voyageur Leadership
Voyageur’s leadership combines the mining engineering expertise that discovered and advanced the Frances Creek barite deposit with corporate finance leadership from Lafarge and medical-device commercialisation experience: a team with a track record of moving resource discoveries from exploration through to cash-flowing production.
